For this week's Self Portrait Saturday I want to inspire you to get creative for the following week. What can you find around your house that you can use for your shoot? Will it aid you in achieving your look or be a focus in the final shot? For this one i used a glass panel from a piece of furniture to aid me and water as my focus. The glass panel that I used was large enough to frame my face and I held it a few inches a way with my hands. My husband assisted with spraying me down with water as well as the glass. This I found during the shoot to be important as the glass needed to be refreshed when the water drops ran off due to gravity. For next Saturday's Self Portrait find what you can use and tell us about it in your description. I look forward to seeing what you come up with and remember you can take it at any time during the week. Just make sure to share and link up with us on Saturday.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, your eyes are mesmerizing in this shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for next week's "challenge". I didn't have the time to take a self portrait this week, which makes me sad, but I'm so looking forward to making time this week to try something new!

Great idea to use items found around the house. I do not tend to take pictures of me as I do not photograph well - the ones I have on my blog of me took ages to do (literally - ages) before I found one where I did not look like a troll!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! And I love that you gave tips and suggestions for this week! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so stunning!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful portrait - and beautiful idea! You're inspiring me to get better at self-portraits. Right now I'm struggling with some focus issues {probably because I'm being a cheapskate and not investing in a remote} but I really want to learn how to do this better.
ReplyDeleteAt first glance, I thought this was taken through a window - I can't even tell that you're holding the glass. What a beautiful portrait!!
ReplyDeleteOk I so wanted to participate this week but the batteries in my camera died and I could only find two new ones!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cool shot!
ReplyDeleteThank you Andi x
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm usually good and having charged batteries, but bad at having space on my camera! ;) x
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah! I had done something similar with a model in Hawaii, so it was nice to try the same technique for this one. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much babette! You can do it! I can understand focus issues. I was trying to do a video for a film project and just could not focus enough to get it done. Hoping maybe I can still get it done tomorrow. Good luck for next week! x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Nicole! x
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet Erika! I would like to keep trying giving more tips x
ReplyDeleteOh you can do it Molly :D Just gotta find the right style. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sarah, I cannot wait to see what you come up with for Saturday! x
ReplyDeleteOh yes! x
ReplyDeleteI am used to having a rechargeable battery but my new camera takes double A's which are never around!
